Tuscany is the greenest area in Italy and with its national parks and regional nature reserves it is a perfect environment for many varieties of flora and fauna, it has 120 protected regions.

Significant tourist destinations in Tuscany include Florence, Siena, Pisa, the Crete Senesi, the Maremma, Garfagnana and the Lunigiana areas, and the island of Elba.

During the New Year's Eve in Florence different events will be held at the squares and streets of the Old Town on December 31 2008.
The Museum of Children of Florence offers stories and guided tours in Italian, English and French for younger visitors.
From 1st July to 30th September 2008 the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery in Florence will extend the current opening hours up to 22.00 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Church festival in commemoration of its consecration in 1741. Completed in 1500 this elegant church with its simple three arched facade celebrates its rededication and consecration of the 21 September 1741 every year on the third Sunday in September.
The ancient celebration will be held in the small medieval village of Montisi. It is a festivity with music, theatre and cultural and historic medieval activities.
On Saturday on 17 May, it is possible to visit some on the Florence museums for free during the evening.
