Every month from August 8th until December 2008 a special dinner will take place in Volterra, the unique and beneficial appointment of Cene Galeotte.
The historian prison of Volterra again opens the doors to the public dinners with twenty committed prisoners preparing and serving a menu, made with the help of renowned chef.

After a pleasant aperitif participants will be able to taste the dishes prepared by the prisoners and wines served by sommelier Fisar in the charming courtyard under the walls of Volterra prison. The diners use plastic cutlery and plates, for obvious security reasons, in the unconsecrated prison chapel.

Promoted by Unicoop Florence, the event, now in its third edition, is being carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, Fisar, Slow Food and direction of the House of imprisonment of Volterra. The proceeds are fully devolved to the international campaign "The Heart melts", which since 2000 sees committed Unicoop Florence, together with the world of voluntary secular and Catholic, in solidarity projects for achieving schools and reception centers. To ensure medical care, to create job opportunities and to promote the adoption and custody at a distance of eight children in Southern countries: Brazil, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, the Philippines, India, Lebanon, Palestine and Peru.

The price of dinner is 35 Euros per person, 100 seats in the evening and reservations required.
