Exhibition of the evolution of fabric and sportswear will be held in Prato Textile Museum.
Coinciding with the great international sporting event represented by the Olympic Games in Beijing, Museum of Textiles in Prato decided to dedicate the theme of fabric and sportswear his great exhibition event of the year 2008.
Approximately 70 objects between clothing, uniforms and accessories from Italian and international companies, as well as private archives and specialized museums, trace the sportswear development during the 20th century. Highlighting how the traditional materials gradually help and promote the performances that the modern superhero of sport, have obtained in the most different sports disciplines thanks to development of textile technology. Also showing of research on fibres and textiles related to anti abrasion, breathable, hydrodynamic, aerodynamic etc.
