Festa dell'Arno - Festivity of Arno - third edition of the celebration long the river, from the source to the delta of the river Arno. It is organized by the Association for the Arno, and offers conventions, festivities, extensions, concerts, and encounter on the topics of the quality of waters, of the history and of the traditions of the river. This year, the Festivity will be carried out in the four week of September, from the Friday to Sunday, from 2-09-2005 to 18-09-2005.
Festivity of Arno is divided to stages: The first weekend (2-3-4 September) will be dedicated to the Casentino-Valdarno area: the 2 from the source to Capolona; the 3 from Capolona to Laterina; the 4 from Laterina to Montevarchi and San Giovanni Valdarno. The second fine week (9-10 and 11 September) will interest the area Fiorentina: Friday 9 from Pontassieve to Florence; Saturday 10 from Florence to Slab to Signa; Sunday 11 from Slab to Signa to Empoli. The third weekend (16-17-18 September) will regard the Pisana area: Friday 16, from Saint Miniato to Pontedera; Saturday 17 from Pontedera to Shack, Sunday 18 from Shack to Pisa and therefore to the delta of Boccadarno. The caravan will become rich stage after stage of new participants: it is well to emphasize that anyone wants it will be able to join to the caravan, is in order to participate to one single stage that in order to continue until the delta of the Arno.
