The most outstanding autumn event in Florence is undoubtedly the Mostra Mercato Internazionale dell'Antiquariato. The International Antique Exhibition in Florence is oldest in Italy and one of the most important of its kind in the world. From September 30th till October 9th 2005, exhibiting in an area of approximately 1,500 sq. m., 90 prestigious international antiquarians represented all the sectors of the antiques world, offering a broad panorama of schools and styles of every epoch and provenance.The Mostra Internazionale dell'Antiquariato of Palazzo Strozzi was launched in 1959, after which it was held every year in the prestigious premises of Palazzo Strozzi situated on the banks of the Arno River in Florence.At the XXIV Antique Biennale there will be 88 antiquarians, including 13 foreigners arriving from the United States, the Principality of Monaco, France, Spain, England and Sweden representing all the sectors of the antiques world, offering a broad panorama of schools and styles of every epoch and provenance. Collectors, dealers and buyers arrive from all over the world to display and purchase antiques that are some of the rarest and most precious in existence today. Full price € 10 Groups € 8 Reduced € 8 for visitors presenting a valid Trenitalia rail ticket, a Eurostar or Intercity Card, for members of Automobile Club d’Italia, Touring Club d'Italia and Amici dei Musei.
