You will loose your New Year’s hangover in minutes visiting the traditional and exiting “Canottieri Florence”, a boat race on the Arno.
On New Year’s Eve at the “Loggiato del Porcellino”, well known by every tourist in Florence and on this special evening the location of a special event. “Loggiato del Porcellino” is the Florentine antique market near the “Ponte Vecchio” with the bronze statue of the wild pig. This “porcellino” will bring good fortune to those, who touch it!

The world known Florentine “Sbandieratori” (the Flag Wavers) will show their talent in a great performance of drums and flags. This is the New Year's Eve offered by the Matrix Foundation and supported by the Quarter Uno in collaboration with "Firenze Events".
The event serves a double goal; to create funds for improving the situation of the disabled and to offer them the chance of spending the New Year's Eve together with their families and friends.
