This is one of Italy's most important short-feature film festivals: in addition to the international competition, there will also be career tributes and discussions.

For the twelfth time, Siena will be turning on the spotlights for its International Short Film Festival to be held from 24 to 29 November 2008.

A week-long fest of short films with the super International Competition: around the world in seventy films, to enjoy the finest in world production. And, with the National Competition where we'll see the best in recent Italian production.

It will be also the competition for screenplays on the territory of Chianti and its culture, including wine. The competition takes place thanks to collaboration with the Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico that, in addition to offering a cash prize worth 3,000 Euros for best screenplay, will produce the film to be ambassador of the Chianti Classico in the next season.

In addition, there will be programs for infants and school children, exhibitions, encounters with directors, workshops, conferences, parties.
