The Joust of Archidado 16-05-2008 to 25-05-2008
The Archidado Games, it is historical folkloric demonstration and crossbow competition, represent the ancient rival districts of the Cortona.
The competition is preceded by a gorgeous historic parade with more than 300 participants from the town dress in ancient costumes. The Joust of Archidado traces its origins back to the Middle Ages and commemorates the marriage between Francesco Casali and the noblewoman Antonia Salimbeni, which took place in Cortona in 1397.
