From June till September (Every year) After the enormous success of previous years, the Percorso del Principe, the unique aerial corridor connecting Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli gardens, through the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi, has reopened to visitors. The walkway provides stunning views over Florence, as well as inside the palaces. As in previous years, a special combined ticket allows visits to both the State and City Council museums.

The corridor opens from June to September and advanced reservations are necessary. The Palazzo Pitti's Silver Museum houses a vast collection of jewelled reliquaries, vases made of solid amethyst and other splendid opulence from those masters of conspicuous consumption, the aristoi of Florentine ages past. Without doubt, a stroll through the collections of this not-so-little museum, repository of the treasures of the Florentine Renaissance aristocracy, will expand your financial horizons. Feel the breath of Mammon down your neck, mingled with the air of incredible and refined material beauty, and wonder at the glories of a bygone age, when men were men, women were women and some people really knew what to do with their surplus money...
