Railway
Two national railway routes covering Tuscany: Milan-Rome and Florence-Pisa. Pisa and Florence are the main arrival points for trains from Europe, but there are also other minor lines providing frequent connections between all bigger towns in the Tuscany area.
Traveling by Bus Florence is connected by bus with the most major European capitals. If there is no direct train link to towns and countryside, then is much quicker and cheaper to use bus. Bus station is usually situated near city train station.
All the islands in the Tuscany archipelago area well connected. The main ports are Livorno, Pionbino and Porto Santo Stefano. During the summer season services operate more frequently.
