Farm Holidays apartments is comprised of three clusters of wholly restructured and newly equipped farmhouses surrounded by vineyards.
It is composed by three different country houses.
Santa Maria a Macerata today houses the reception and common areas: swimming pool, restaurant, conference room, wellness center, tennis and several apartments.
The other two farmhouses, Podere Tignanello and Podere Vivaio, are located in the hill facing Santa Maria and are easily reached by following a picturesque country road that intersects the vineyards.
Each of the charming apartments is named after grape or olive varieties, reminding one of being in one of the most famous wine and olive oil producing areas in the world.

Santa Maria a Macerata- the heart of property, is in this small historical village characteristic of the Chianti countryside, with its houses made of stone, brightly colored plaster walls, and little central square and chapel. Five apartments are found within the same structure that houses the reception while two more are located apart. Crossing the street that goes through the village one finds more apartments, the conference room which can hold up to 80 people.
The Podere Tignanello - located 1, 5 km. from Borgo di Santa Maria and overlooks the vineyards that give life to the renown wine. The large stone farm-house, a building of historical importance in the area, is surrounded by gardens and has a breathtaking view of the Pesa Valley. All of the apartments have their own entries, outdoor private spaces (verandas or gardens), terracotta floors, exposed wooden beams, incredibly comfortable bathrooms, and fully well-equipped kitchens. Some of the apartments also have wide exterior areas with barbecue grills and large fireplaces. In every case, the furnishings and structure of the apartments reflect the Tuscan spirit and distinctive personality that a historical estate should have.
Podere Vivaio- the third farmhouse lodging, consists of three completely renovated apartments and enjoys a stunning view of the lake of Buca del Granchio. The apartments, named after three olive tree varieties, are equipped with every amenity to ensure a comfortable stay.
Activities& Services
Guests have at their disposal, a panoramic swimming pool (adults and children’s) with a solarium. Situated within Tignanello and Solaia's historical vineyards, you will find our restaurant which offers an abundant breakfast and buffet menu. For dinner, a country buffet is offered with an extensive selection of typical Tuscan specialties.
We also offer innumerable possibilities for outdoor activities: an example, mountain bike excursions through our grounds or perhaps even further afield to nearby Lake Buca del Granchio. On request and if available, guided tours and wine tastings can be organised at Tignanello's cellars. Minibus tours of Chianti, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and elsewhere are also available. A riding school is also in the vicinity offering horse rides. To welcome our guests, our adept personnel are available from 8 am to 9 pm. Fax; internet and email services are also provided. Finally, accommodation provides a conference room seating up to 80, Tennis/ football field with synthetic grass, areas where it is possible to relax in a Turkish bath and sauna, and a fitness studio.
All apartments are with daily breakfast included in price. It is possible to arrange stay with half board, breakfast and dinner. For some apartments is preferably 7 days stay period and for some reservations for less than a week. Included in the price for all apartments: taxes, water, electricity, heating, linen, parking, complementary gift upon arrival, use of swimming pool and other equipment, mountain bikes, firewood, daily monitoring of rooms and change of linen once a week.

On Saturday on 17 May, it is possible to visit some on the Florence museums for free during the evening.
The 7th edition of the Florence Biennale will take place from the 5th to the 13th of December 2009 in the historic Fortezza da Basso.
